Vulcan Tilt Haulage transporting industrial plant equipment to site in Stonehenge, Queensland. This monument isn't quite as impressive as the Stonehenge in England, but it's not bad.

A ute with a broken front suspension was parked opposite our driveway on friday night. The owner rang me today to have it taken to his place. As I was loading it a dad and his kids walked by carrying rubbish bags. They obviously had been doing their bit for Clean Up Australia Day - well done. His passing comment gave me a laugh. He said "you get the prize for the biggest clean-up" — at From our driveway.
Car wreckage to be hauled by Vulcan Tilt Haulage. Rolled after 50 metre terrifying trip off Cotherstone Rd. Thankfully no major injuries. Front air bags did not fire but all curtain and seat air bags deployed. Car is statutory write-off.
Early Christmas eve - ute failed to give way. Young family from Victorian had major scare but no injuries. Thankfully Suncorp had them on the road to Townsville in a Hire Car later that day. A memorable Christmas for all the wrong reasons!
It's not always breakdown or accident recovery. Usually our work with cars involves breakdown and accident recovery and towing. Last week for a change I got to deliver a brand new Isuzu Dmax to a very happy buyer at Dysart. And yes, it still had its "new car" smell. Damned if I ever smelt the "new car" smell in any of the 4 new trucks I have bought over the years.
Mt Isa delivery on time. The road to Mt Isa was re-opened just in time to allow our delivery to get there right on schedule. Water in lots of places and damaged road especially near Winton and Mckinlay were evidence of the big rain dump last week. A quiet highway each way was a bonus.
Vulcan Tult Haulage also offers rental of shipping containers for transportation. The inside of one of our hi-cube rental container. Note the many tie-off points so you can secure your furniture etc to minimise movement during transport.
Westech Field Days Barcaldine Honouring a long held booking, I got to spend 4 days tied up with Westech at Barcaldine this week. Seven Polaris quad bikes and side-by-side buggys were my passengers out to Barcaldine, with not so many coming back. Thanks to SC for the use of his most-suitable trailer. As is often my way, I got to spend more than I earned with a great array of products on display.
WW2 Bren Gun Carrier with its proud owner Tony Hales. This vehicle is in going order and Tony has a smile from ear to ear each time he takes it for a run. Tony has quite a collection of WW2 vehicles, with many of them having been relocated on the back of "The Vulcan 2".
